ARTHRITIS and OSTEOARTHRITIS
With osteoarthritis and arthritis there is a degradation of cartilage. It is a wearing
of the cartilage, caused by the fact that the breakdown of cartilage is faster than the production of cartilage. There
is no balance. With advanced osteoarthritis there is an increase in pain. Osteoarthritis occurs mostly in older animals.
Twenty percent of all elderly pets have osteoarthritis and the number increases with age. Complex factors like genetic
predisposition, toxins, nutrition and the existence of parasites, bad bowel, amoeba, Candida etc. .play a part. Also,
a disease like pneumonia, treated with penicillin, can cause arthritis. Because of the fact that the Ph of the body
decreases, parasites can get the upper hand, leaving the immune system permanently inadequate. Allergic reactions to
toxins released when parasites in food die, for example toxic mushrooms. The same happens when Candida and yeast
cells die. These allergic reactions can cause bowel and skin problems and also fatigue symptoms.
Arthritis means that there is inflammation. The joint capsule gets inflamed, affecting the
cartilage, bone and ligaments of the joint. Arthritis can appear at all ages.
Related diseases
Osteoarthritis and arthritis are 2 diseases that are closely related: osteoarthritis
usually develops in arthritis. The cartilage wears down. The immune system will try and “repair” this, thereby
causing inflammation. The other way around is also possible; arthritis can cause a rapid degradation of cartilage
(osteoarthritis). After a while, the symptoms of osteoarthritis and arthritis will overlap. In both cases it causes
the formation of excess bone on the joints surface, which causes swelling of the joints, pain, stiffness and
deformation of the joints.

Causes
Not much is known about the causes of these diseases. There is proof that obesity can cause osteoarthritis. Possible
causes are: overburdening of the joint, unbalanced use of the joint, differences in length of limbs, turned-in legs
or bandy-legs, bad healing of a bone fracture, weak muscle joints, bad bone quality because of osteoporosis/ genetic
factors/ hormonal disturbances (menopause) in elderly female pets. Hormonal in balance can be treated with
Borixemcomplex, which contains trace elements, which the body needs a lot when affected by osteoarthritis and It
also prevents osteoporosis. When the body ages, the breakdown of cartilage is faster than the production of cartilage.
Treatment
Using the Chinese herbal formula Drynaria containing Borixemcomplex, in combination with Rejoint has proven to be
very effective with osteoarthritis and arthritis. The cartilage is repaired and infections decrease. Pain is
relieved, bones and ligaments get stronger and it improves blood circulation.
Drynaria and Rejoint are a very good alternative for corticosteroids, Prednison and pain
killers, like Rimadyl, Metacam, Cortafen, Brufen, Ketafen. It has no side effects. It can be given
for a long time period of time.
Symptoms: osteoarthritis, arthritis, damaged tissue, weak bones, back pain, painful knee joints, rheumatoid
complaints, trauma, painful muscles, painful joints.

More information on the development of osteoarthritis and arthritis.
Osteoarthritis and arthritis is a process that is accompanied with joint damage causing the cartilage,
the tissue that covers the bone surface to degrade. Cartilage is a flexible material, smooth on the surface,
that can endure the forces that are present in a joint. Once the cartilage is damaged, your pet will avoid
using the affected joint. It is a fact that the ligaments of the joint will respond to being used less: they
will get “loose” with decreased controlling qualities. This will cause the joint to be used even less causing
more osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is mostly found in places where cartilage surfaces that face each other
make less contact, meaning the parts that are not burdened that much. Degeneration of the femoral head, for
instance, is related to the incorrect use of the joint. See illustrations 1 and 2: a correct and incorrect strain
on the joint.

Move the mouser over this first illustration. When the
joint is managed correctly by the joint’s ligaments, the entire joint is used and the complete joint surface of the
joint’s head is burdened. The movement radius is a lot wider.

|
Move the mouse over the second illustration. When the
joint is managed incorrectly, not the entire joint is used and not the complete joint surface of the joint head. Is
burdened. The movement radius is a lot less wide The joint has a tendency to roll, which causes a wrong use of the
joint. This will speed up the degradation of the cartilage.
