A distinction is made between acute and chronic pain

Acute pain occurs e.g with a fractured leg, chronic pain occurs with e.g. degenerative arthritis, wear and tear of the joint so to speak. It is possible that the joint problems have become so severe, that treatment is difficult to extremely difficult. Pain medication is the only option. Especially for these cases, Analgos was developed. Analgos relieves chronic pain. The formula does not have side effects like the regular products Carprofen,Rimadyl, Ketoprofen, Ketofen, Meloxicam, Metacam, Tepoxalin, Morfine, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Butorphanol and Tramadol. Recognizing chronic pain

Animals can have a high level of pain tolerance. They instinctively know that in nature, showing pain is a sign of weakness and weak animals do not survive very long. But when you observe your animal well, signs of pain are recognizable.

Signs can be:

• difficulty in getting up, stiffness, lying down more, not jumping on the couch anymore, walking tiredly, not wanting to walk at all or walking with a crippled gait
• strange (different) way of lying down (relieving painful joint)
• change in behaviour, e.g animal is a lot calmer or displays more agressive behaviour, not happily wagging its tail
• hunched back, head hanging down
• decreased appetite, tires more rapidly
• licking the painful area
• animal does not groom itself anymore and has a dishevelled look because of that
• after administering a pain killer the animal will become more lively or is back to his normal behaviour. Then you know the animal was in pain.
